Before I add the details of today, i will make a couplecof comments.
I started a blog in Wordpress but because I didn't have wi fi access all the time, I lost a lot of what i have written, particularly at Interlaken. It is the most beautiful spot I have seen. Dougie did eell in choosing.
Today it is our second day in Berlin. We are really enjoying our days even though they are full and we come home very tired!!
This is actually day 14 of our trip...can't believe it has been 2 weeks already.
And so the day began...
Well, Dougie is the same as always...wanted to be out of the room before 7 for breakfast...does a few minutes matter? LOL
After breakfast we will start our tour of Berlin, getting off at the places we marked on the map yesterday. It is so good taking these city tours and having a 2 day pass, so you can see what you want to look at.
Today we started with a train ride, then hopped on the bus to go to the Jewish museum. We spent probably 3 hours there. Words cannot describe the feeling being there. Man's inhumanity to man.
We left and had lunch at a cafe...hot dogs, cola, spinach and fetta pastry. Then onwards to the remainder of the Berlin wall, Brandenburg gate and then another Jewish Museum...this was far better than the first, but more moving, if that is possible.
We also visited Check point Charlie today and had photos wi the guards...2€ per person...LOL
