Thoughts this morning as I lay in my bed...
Sounds...Church bells, army trumpet, birds and at 8 am thr sound of the priest singing from the church, the rooster crowing, a goat bleating, church bells again and dogs howling to the sound, priest chanting again....wind blowing, clouds in the sky...
Up and coffee and baclava again for breakfast....yummo
Empty water bottles collected and off again for Agiaso to fill water bottles when we are ready.
How stupid can one person be. I was trying to take a photo of the pomegranate tree which now has fruit on it now. I took a close up and then was backing back to get another photo when I fell and impaled myself on a bamboo stake. I ripped my pants, Grace's swimmers and my top. Dan and Dougie came to my rescue to get me off. I was very lucky it was the bamboo stake and not the metal stake. Apparently it looked funny, and it probably did, but my pride was hurt and my back was hurt as was my hand. Oh well, upstairs and changed. Dougie's comment was something to the effect that my bag would be a bit lighter after throwing the clothes out and he could fit some Ouzo in. Needless to say, I didn't get that photo!! but I have a closeup of the pomegranate fruit. Can't believe in 3 weeks the flowers have changed into the fruit.
Next stop the hardware to get some black plastic and more pots, then off to the nursery to get potting mix (all sold out!!!) and then to go to get the water. We are trying to get as much done as we can before we leave.
Water done, then off to Vatera to swim and eat!!
What a place... Beautiful place to eat....and the water....divine....deep and blue and great for my favourite pass time....floating on my back....
Left about 3.30 pm...home for a nap.....second last day on Lesvos....it will be so hard leaving, especially leaving Grace....
Dougie had a great time driving home from Vatera having a race with a small car down down a windy mountain....the little car in front...best fun he has had he said!!!
Home, unloaded the car. I had a shower and into my nightie. All the rest had a nap. I had a quiet time catching up on various things while having a wine!!!
Can't believe this is the second last night here. Where has our holiday gone?
Florin and Maria arrive with fresh figs and have coffee......Dan and Nick go to shops....
All good with the world.....LOL
