Can't believe Lizzy is 18 today. We phoned to wish her happy birthday.
Today we set off to drive across Lesvos.
Grace stayed home, so it was Dougie the driver, Angelo, Dan, Nick and Handy Sandy.
The roads are very windy, and there are many changes in the scenery.
Nick saw a snake slithering across the road....ewwww!!!
We took a turn to a petrified forest but it was a 23 klm trek down to see trees, so we decided not to go walk down.
So off to see the museum but went to Sgri and had lunch. Nick fought Dougie for the bill then found he couldn't pay by card and needed Dougie's money, we laughed.
Then we went to the museum to see fossils and petrified trees. It was very interesting.
Kids put toes in water at Sgri beach, but there was a bit of weed and Dougie was looking at his watch. Dan decided it was time to leave. We started our trek home around 3.40 and then to go out for dinner!
The man phoned from Vodafone. Can't get Internet yet. Maybe next week!!
We saw drivers go over double lines, motor bike rider driving one hand with long bit of wood over his shoulder. Dan saw a bike rider eating an ice cream and steering with one hand!!
Tonight we were walking into village for dinner but plans changed as Labryne didn't come.
We had a lovely game of cards and then Angelo cooked pork chops on the grill beautiful salad and yoghurt with honey. YUM
